The animal isn't shot or electrocuted (in front of others) to die with stress & anxiety, which you consume through the hormones passed on in the meat. The animal's primal instinct to mate also drastically increases before dying such a prolonged death.

Halal (permissible): the name of The(al) God(ilah) - "Allah"(in arabic) that gave it life in the first place is mentioned

Haram (forbidden): sacrifices for another diety, blood, pork (google 'behavior of pigs' and you will understand why)
